Easter Lunch

This post contains affiliate links.

This year we spent Easter with my family down in Bastrop, Texas (just East of Austin).  My sister and her family came down from Colorado and we had a great time!  We all went to Church together for a time of celebration and rememberance.  Afterwards we went back to my parents and had a feast!
Uncle Greg found a baby turtle that the kids took care of over the weekend.
Lily with "Molly"Jackson waiting patiently for lunch
Grandma Zett looking great at 96!
Remember this little guy?  This is Lazarus...we've been bottle feeding him.  He joined us for Easter weekend too!
Here was our lunch spread:  (I'll be posting recipes for some of these in future posts)
We had...
Honey-Glazed Ham...
Potato Casserole...
Pea Salad...
Green Bean Bundles...(I could have eaten the whole platter!)
Deviled Quail Eggs...(It was worth all the tedious work!  Cute huh?!)
Apple-Snickers Salad...(Yes! Apples, Snickers, Cream Cheese, Cool Whip, Marshmallow Cream all in one bowl...OH MY Gosh it's Gooood!!!)
Hot Rolls...(Butt Rolls as Quinton affectionately calls them!)
Chocolate Four Layer Dessert & Easter Cupcakes for the Kids
Whew!  It was a great day!
After lunch we had the big Easter Egg Hunt for the kids...they had a blast!
It all started with Dad talking about the rules...
Can you tell how well they were listening?
I thought they might fall asleep before it even began.
Without anymore direction from dad, they were off...

Lily worked hard hunting eggs and occasionally posing for the camera!  Cutie!
They hunted in all the right places...even ones that were right in front of their faces!
Jackson was all in blue for the occasion

When the weekend was all said and done, Joe couldn't hold out any longer...
We found him sacked out on Mimi's recliner.
We have a great family and I am so glad we got to be together for this happy day!
