Wild Rice with Bacon, Mushrooms & Green Onions

This post contains affiliate links.

I love rice...any kind.  I like to try adding different ingredients for variety.  For this rice dish, I had some Cremini mushrooms, green onion and real bacon bits crowding up my refrigerator, so I decided to give it a try with wild rice...it was gooood!  I served it with the Surf & Turf Kabobs and it was DeLiSh!

Wild Rice with Bacon, Mushrooms & Green Onions

2 boxes Uncle Ben's or Zataran's Wild Rice
1 regular size pkg. Fresh sliced Cremini or button mushrooms
½ stick butter
1 small pkg. real bacon bits pieces
4 green onions, sliced

In a large sauce pot, sauté mushrooms in butter until golden brown.  Add bacon and ½ of the green onions and saute just 1 minute.  Add all of the water that the box mix calls for.  Combine wild rice mix into the water and follow box instructions.

When rice is done, stir in remaining green onions and serve immediately.
