Discover the magic of Krazy Salt – your new go-to seasoning for elevating any dish! With its zesty kick, Krazy Salt transforms ordinary meals into extraordinary. Perfect for beef, chicken, fish, pork, and more, it's the secret ingredient you'll want to add to everything from soups and stews to pizza and pasta.

Ah, let me dive into the tale of my kitchen's unsung hero – this seemingly unremarkable little salt pig. If it ever goes missing right as I'm rolling up my sleeves to cook, the whole kitchen turns into a search and rescue operation. Over the top? Perhaps, but this container is my culinary lifeline.

This whole saga began back in culinary school, where a simple mix of salt and pepper in an airtight container became our staple. That's when my fascination with seasoning mixes started, and oh, the journey it's been! From trial and error to taste tests galore, I finally struck gold with a seasoning mix that's nothing short of magical. It's the kind of mix that, once you try it, you can't imagine how your kitchen ever functioned without it. It elevates beef, chicken, fish, pork, veggies – honestly, anything you sprinkle it on goes from ordinary to “Oh wow, did I make this?”

But here's a chef's secret for you: seasoning in layers. It's not just about throwing in spices at one go. It's about building up those flavors step by step, tasting and tweaking as you cook. This little method? It's a total game-changer.

Now, my trusty seasoning doesn't just live in any container. It resides in a small Rubbermaid container with an airtight lid, ensuring it stays potent for up to 6 months, but it never lasts that long.

But that's not where the story ends. In my kitchen, I've taken things a step further. I have a lineup of these containers nestled in my range's storage cubby – a salt pig for this special mix, plus ones filled with Kosher salt, sea salt flakes, and freshly ground black pepper. Oh, and my very own creation, which I fondly call “Krazy Salt,” definitely deserves a shoutout. Each one plays a pivotal role in my cooking arsenal, ready at a moment's notice to transform any dish from bland to brilliant.

Trust me, adopting this little setup in your kitchen isn't just about keeping spices organized; it's about embracing the art of cooking with intention, flavor, and a little bit of kitchen magic. So, why not give it a try? Your taste buds will thank you.

Chef Secrets for Krazy Salt:

  1. Seasoning in Layers: This technique is a total game-changer. Instead of just adding all the spices at once, layering them throughout the cooking process allows each flavor to develop and mingle properly. It’s all about building depth and complexity in your dishes, ensuring that every bite is as flavorful as possible.
  2. Use of an Airtight Container: Keeping the seasoning mix in an airtight container ensures that it stays fresh and potent. This little trick helps maintain the vibrancy of the spices for up to six months, though it sounds like it rarely lasts that long with how much it's loved!
  3. Strategic Storage: Storing different salts and seasonings within easy reach, like in a salt pig in a range cubby, is not just practical but enhances the cooking process. Having these ingredients at your fingertips encourages creativity and spontaneity in seasoning, making it easier to adjust flavors on the fly.
  4. The Magic of Krazy Salt: The blend itself, which includes ingredients like Kosher salt, garlic powder, onion powder, celery salt, poultry seasoning, and a mix of black and white pepper, is designed to elevate any dish. The balance and variety of the components make it versatile enough to enhance everything from meats to veggies to soups.
  5. Handling Clumping: Even if the salt mix clumps up a bit in the salt pig, a quick stir easily restores it to its original granular state. This tip is handy for keeping the mix usable and ensuring it always sprinkles evenly.

WILL IT CLUMP IF I LEAVE IT IN A SALT PIG WITHOUT COVERING?

Yes, it will a bit, but I just give it a quick stir and it crumbles back to its original state.

WILL IT GO BAD IF I LEAVE IT OUT?

Generally, no, however, if you don’t cook often or if you don’t use it very often, I recommend storing it in an airtight container.
