Yesterday’s farmers market was another feast for the eyes!  We had a great day selling fresh herbs and quail eggs.
Beautiful fresh vegetables and pumpkins from D&C Farms…

Eaton Family’s Wild Sauces…

My family’s local favorite…Walker’s Honey!

And look at all these locally made cheese spreads and artisan cheeses from the Texas Cheese House…

Other vendors that were there included JZJ Natural Beef, Green Egg Family Farm, and Lantana Farm.

Another sweetie…Round Rock Honey Co.

We had a beautiful harvest of fresh basil!

And look at our little quail eggs…aren’t they pretty?!
Here are some more of our herbs on ice (many were already sold out in this pic).  On this day, we had, Sweet Basil, Thai Basil, Lemongrass, Oregano, Lemon Balm, Mint, Rosemary, Thyme and Sage.
We also had a colorful assortment of hot peppers.

I am so excited about this farmers market!  (Can’t ya tell?!)

I’m also thankful.

It’s so nice to have fresh, locally grown food.  And having a market like this in Salado really takes it up a notch.  It’s such a quaint place to relax, shop and meet with friends.

Adelea’s has really made this market very enjoyable.  They have a beautiful covered patio where you can enjoy live music, sit back with a glass of wine and order one of their fresh, handmade brick oven fired pizzas!

Here’s a good shot of their Cob Oven…

Look at that…isn’t it gorgeous?!
Wow.  I wish blogger had smell-o-vision!

I don’t know about you, but if I have to get out and grocery shop, this is the way I want to do it!
