Preheat oven broiler with rack in middle-top position (about 7 inches from broiler).
Using a small round cookie cutter about 2 ½ inches in diameter, cut bread rounds from each slice of bread.
Arrange bread rounds on a baking sheet. Brush the tops with 1 tbsp. olive oil and broil about 2-3 minutes until browned.
Remove pan from the oven and flip the bread rounds.
Return the pan to the broiler and toast the other side to a light golden brown.
Remove from oven and set aside.
Remove bacon slices and cut them into a small dice.
place a medium skillet over medium-high heat and fry the bacon bits until crispy.
Remove bacon to a papery towel-lined plate and set aside.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Spread ½ teaspoon of fig jam on each piece of toasted bread.
Place onto parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
Top each piece with bacon and blue cheese.
Place in oven for 6 to 8 minutes or until warmed.
Remove from oven and carefully place on serving plates.
Garnish with minced chives and serve.
