Powdered sugar cranberries soak in lemon-lime soda and orange juice before being tossed in confectioners’ sugar for a snowy, sweet-tart holiday treat.
Substitutions: Sprite, 7UP, or another clear lemon-lime soda all work well. Fresh cranberries are recommended; frozen cranberries can become too soft after thawing.
Serving: Add to holiday cheese boards, garnish cakes, pies, cheesecakes, or cocktails, or serve with roasted turkey or ham.
Storage: Keep airtight at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to 1 week. The coating may soften slightly when chilled.
Freezing: Not recommended. Thawing releases moisture that dissolves the coating.
