Equipment

Notes

This recipe uses 2 cups sugar to 1 cup water, measured by volume. Cooling time is additional to the 2-minute prep and 5-minute cook. To maximize shelf life, use a clean, airtight glass container and keep the syrup refrigerated. Jennifer’s tested recipe lists up to 6 months in the refrigerator. Regularly inspect for cloudiness, off-odors, or mold; discard the syrup if any appear.
