For Garnish

  • 1 ounce dark chocolate (finely grated, for garnish)
  • 6 whole coffee beans (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Grate the Chocolate Use a microplane grater to finely grate the dark chocolate onto a small saucer.
  2. Rim the Glasses Lightly brush the rims of two cocktail glasses with simple syrup, then dip the rims into the chocolate shavings until they adhere.
  3. Fill the Shaker Combine the vodka, Baileys Irish Cream liqueur, Kahlúa coffee liqueur, simple syrup, half-and-half, and cooled espresso in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  4. Shake and Serve Secure the lid and shake hard until very cold and frothy, about 20 seconds. Strain into the prepared glasses, garnish with additional chocolate shavings and 3 coffee beans per glass, and serve immediately.

Notes

Cool the espresso to room temperature before shaking. Use a thin coat of simple syrup on the glass rims. Shake hard for about 20 seconds and serve immediately for the best froth.
