Ingredients

Garnish:

  • Additional fresh basil leaves and cucumber ribbons

Instructions

Blend the Base

  • In a high powered blender, combine the herbs, limeade, ½ cucumber (cut into rounds) and fresh limes and blend until smooth.
½ cup lightly packed fresh basil leaves, ½ cup lightly packed fresh mint leaves, 1½ cups limeade*, 1 English cucumber, 2 fresh limes
  • Let it sit for a minute or two to infuse.

Strain and Add the Spirits

  • Strain the limeade and herb mixture into a clean pitcher, discarding the solids.
  • Stir in the vodka, elderflower liqueur, and simple syrup until well blended.
6 ounces Grey Goose Vodka, 6 ounces St. Germain elderflower liqueur, 3 ounces simple syrup

Serve and Garnish

  • Pour the cocktail over glasses filled with ice.
  • Garnish with fresh mint leaves and cucumber ribbons (made by using a peeler to make ribbons out of the remaining cucumber or from baby cucumbers), if you’d like to dress it up.

Notes

Ingredient Substitutions:
•If vodka isn’t your thing, swap in gin.
•You can use store-bought limeade like Simply Limeade, or make your own with fresh lime juice, sugar, and water to taste.
Storage:
•Best served fresh, but the strained and mixed cocktail base (without ice) can be stored in the refrigerator up to 24 hours in advance.
•Do not freeze, as the citrus and alcohol don’t hold up well in the freezer and muddled herbs can lose their flavor.
