  • Gather all the ingredients needed for both the bars and the frosting.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • For the bars, whisk together the pumpkin puree, sugar, oil, and eggs in a medium bowl until smooth and well mixed.
  • In another bowl, combine the flour, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture, stirring until fully incorporated.
  • Pour the batter into an ungreased 18x13-inch jelly roll pan and spread it evenly.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the bars bounce back when gently pressed. Remove from the oven and let them cool completely.
