Ingredients

Instructions

Prepare the Fresh Ingredients

  • Use a food chopper to finely chop the fresh cranberries. Finely dice the green onions, jalapeño peppers, and cilantro.

Mix the Cranberry Mixture

  • In a medium-sized bowl, combine the chopped cranberries, pomegranate arils, green onions, cilantro, and jalapeños. Add sugar, orange juice, orange zest, and salt to the mixture. Stir gently until all ingredients are evenly blended.

Chill the Mixture

  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the mixture overnight to allow the flavors to develop.

Strain the Mixture

  • Remove the cranberry mixture from the refrigerator and give it a good stir. Pour the mixture into a colander with small holes and strain out all excess liquid.

Prepare the Cream Cheese Base

  • Use a hand mixer to whip the softened cream cheese for about 2 minutes, or until smooth and fluffy. Spread the whipped cream cheese evenly over the bottom of a pie plate or a 9x9 dish.

Assemble the Dip

  • Pour the strained cranberry mixture on top of the cream cheese layer. Spread it out evenly, ensuring full coverage of the cream cheese.

Chill and Serve

  • Keep the assembled dip in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Serve with Ritz, Club crackers, or your favorite dipping snacks, and enjoy!
