Ingredients

Instructions

  • Pre-warm a heatproof glass Irish coffee mug by filling it with hot water; set it aside.
  • Gently heat the cream in 10-second intervals in the microwave until it's warm but not boiling. Shake the warm cream in a tightly sealed jar until slightly thickened and frothy, or use an electric milk frother for the same effect.
  • Empty the hot water from the mug. Add sugar and pour in the hot coffee, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Mix in the whiskey.
  • Using the back of a spoon, float the warmed cream over the top of the coffee. Serve immediately.
