Combine syrup, sugar, butter, and salt in a heavy-bottomed medium saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Boil for 1 minute and remove from heat.
Stir in peanut butter and vanilla, mixing well, and then fold in cereal. Gently stir to thoroughly coat cereal.
Gently fold in candies and mix until combined.
Drop by tablespoonfuls onto waxed paper or foil.
Allow to cool completely and store in an airtight container.
