I love 7 layer dip! I remember as a child devouring it with Fritos whenever my mom made it for a get-together. So, when I saw this idea on Pinterest, I couldn’t resist making it for a gathering I had at my house recently. I really like this idea of grabbing a cup of dip to add to your plate instead of scooping off of a massive platter (which ends up looking like slop at the end of the party). These dip cups were very easy to throw together and I was able to do them a day or two in advance and keep them in the refrigerator. I used standard size clear acrylic punch cups and used a large piping tip to make layering the cups quick and easy. Here’s how it all went together…
Ingredients
- 2 cans bean dip
- 2 cartons fresh guacamole
- 1 packet taco seasoning mix
- 8 ounces sour cream
- 2 cups grated sharp cheddar
- 1 cup diced tomatoes or pico de gallo, drained
- 1 cup sliced green onions
- 2 (3 ounce cans) sliced black olives, drained
Instructions
- First, combine sour cream and taco seasoning mix and blend thoroughly; set aside. Begin layering dip ingredients in the following order: Bean dip, Guacamole, Sour cream mixture, Cheese, Tomatoes, Green onions, Black olives.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until time to serve. Serve with tortilla chips or Fritos Scoops (my favorite!)
- Yields: about 16 individual cups

what a great idea…i’m going to have to try that!
What a fun idea. Love this dip but so like the individual portion idea. Looks beautiful on a buffet table–clear thru the party. Why didn’t I think of this??
Have a great day.
I’m pinning this right now; great for BBQ’s and parties.
Oh my! OH MY! Ooooh MY!
It looks so good… I love your yummy blog.
